We first caught these young legends at the Lainey Wilson concert in Christchurch in Feb, and after hearing their new release, we were blown away.

Working Equitation

Working Equitation (WE) in NZ is a relatively new but growing equestrian sport that combines elements of classical dressage, obstacle navigation, and occasionally cattle work. It emphasises harmony between horse and rider, responsiveness, agility, and versatility—qualities historically valued in working horses. Open to all breeds, riding styles (English or Western), and rider levels. WE in NZ is governed by Working Equitation NZ (WENZ)

Bill Noble Grand Prix Dressage Instructor

Bill, formerly a UK-based international dressage trainer and coach, first developed a relationship with NZ through working with Kiwi eventers during their golden period in the 1980’s. this further developed through marring a kiwi, and the pair moved permanently to NZ in 1998, where Bill continued his work with both dressage riders and horses. Bill has trained a score of horses to grand Prix, including 3, who between them won 5 Horse of the Year Grand Prix titles. We are both pleased and privileged to have Bill with us at EquiSouth this year, showcasing his profession with grace and style.

Recognising how rare they are here in New Zealand, Ellwin was inspired to launch her own breeding programme.
